Why wax in the first place? Waxing pulls the hair directly from the root causing the hair to grow back thinner leaving lasting results vs shaving witch stimulates the hair growth causing hair to become thicker over time.
How long should my hair be to come in for a wax? Hair should be at least 1/4 inch so the wax can fully adhere to the hair. Example the length of an uncooked grain of rice.
How to best prepare for a wax? Gently exfoliate the skin a day or two before your appointment to remove dead skin around the hair follicle.
Does waxing hurt? The pain associated with waxing can vary from being very mild for one person to painful for another. One person may have sensitive skin while another doesn’t. Here at OmgWax we cater to each and every persons individual needs to ensure everyone has a great experience.
Can I wax during my period? Of course, all you need is a CLEAN FRESH tampon. Note that while on your period skin will be more sensitive.
How often do you wax? Every 4 weeks.
What is the best way to treat ingrown hairs? Exfoliate 3x a week and use a daily ingrown treatment. Book an appointment and we will discuss a proper skin care regimen catered to you.
Are there any waxing contraindications? YES! Waxing is NEVER done on clients taking ACCUTANE. Not recommended for clients using Retin A, Renova, Differin or any other skin thinning medications.
